Five on Friday: Life Lately

Another week has come and gone.  This one has flown by and I am ready for a relaxing weekend!  Let's hop right into the Five on Friday!

-One-
Most of you know that we have finally moved into our home!! Finally!  We have been there almost three weeks and I feel like we are kind of getting our groove back.  Here is a sneak peek at our living room.  This was taken the first few days we were there and it has drastically changed since then.  The "TV" table was our old kitchen table and it will be moved to the back porch as soon as we find an entertainment center we like.  We are in the middle of mixing some Sheetrock and paint issues so everything is covered with tarps and plastic until this weekend.  After that "small" project is completed and I am able to get all the Sheetrock dust cleaned up, I will start doing room tours as I finish certain rooms.

-Two-
Speaking of getting rooms finished.  I am in love with this twin room.  We have twin beds almost exact to these in one of our guest rooms, and I would love to give it this look.  I took a screenshot of this photo below and as soon as I can remember where I got it from, I will link it below.  Her site is amazing and beautifully done.

-Three-

This little bug as been in heaven in the new house.  He is so happy to have so much room to run around and loves exploring.  He has already mastered the stairs (we are still behind him) because he knows that his playroom is up there.  I think all this running around has him crash hard at night.  He has been an awesome sleeper because of it.

-Four-

Not only is he loving the new room he has to run around with but he is loving having an actual bath!  Poor kid didn't know how to act since he was never really exposed to anything but a sink bath for an entire year.  He loves being able to play with all of this toys and pitches a horrible fit once it is time to get out.  Water baby!

-Five-
Next week is going to be a fun week.  My brother is coming into town for two days to pick up some furniture from our old home.  I with the entire Hale family could come, but one is better than none.  Next weekend I will also be hitting up a huge consignment sale to stock up on fall and winter clothes for Griffin.  I'm sure I will be getting things for Baby #2 there too!  In case you missed it, here is my 16 week bump date.  Happy Friday!

Oh Baby!! 16 Week Bumpdate

Here we are again.  I hate that this blog has turned into doing bump dates only.  I don't know what it is about being pregnant, but any extra time I have is spent resting/doing nothing.
I miss blogging and I can't wait to get back in the swing of things.
Let's hope right into week 16!

How far along? 16+2 weeks
Baby's Size: Avocado

Gender: We know, but we are still going to keep it to ourselves a little more longer.

Weight Gain: Unsure.  At my 14 weeks ultrasound I was down 3 pounds, but I will get an update at next weeks appointment.  I would say I am at least back to pre-pregnancy weight, because this belly is fully in charge.

Baby's Movement: Yes!  I am so happy to finally be feeling these little flutters.  I'd say I feel the baby move 10 times a day if not a little more.  I have to be really still and concentrate so I know I am not missing them.

Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants are heaven.  Heaven I tell you.  They are so comfortable and help with the expanding of the belly as the day goes on.  Regular shirts are still being worn, but I know it is coming to an end soon.

Sleep: Pretty good.  I try and go to bed no later than 10:00pm.  Some nights I am fast asleep by 8pm.  No complaints here though.  I get up to use the bathroom at least once a night, but the tossing and turning is what keeps me from getting a perfect nights sleep.

Belly Button In/Out: Still in.  It never popped out with Griffin so I would expect the same thing to happen this go around.

Stretch Marks: None.  I only got one (on my hip) with Griffin but I didn't find it until after I delivered him.

Symptoms: Same as last week.  Exhaustion is not fun.  Luke is having to pick up more "parent duty" than I am in the afternoons because I feel so wiped out in the afternoons.

Cravings: None that I can think of.  Food wise I don't ever just have to have something because I am craving it.  I eat a pretty hardy breakfast but I tend to snack the rest of the day.  The amount I can eat is very little and if I do overeat, then I pay for it the rest of the day and feel horrible.

Miss Anything? My energy.

Best Moment This Week: Not baby related, but I am looking forward to my brother coming home next week.  We have not seen him since Griffin was 6 months old and even though it is for 2 days, I am going to be selfish with my time with him.

Worst Moment This Week: Me personally, I have not had a bad moment.

Looking Forward To: Picking out a name.  We know we want some type of family name, but nothing is telling us "Yes, that's it!"  We knew within seconds of finding out we were having a boy, that his name should be Griffin.  Who knows, baby #2 might be nameless until the birth.

How's Husband? Still wonderful!  The extra help with Griffin has been wonderful.  He has been in charge of bath time and has been giving Griffin his last Milk before bed.

Baby Edwards: Week 15

I can not believe we are already in week 15.  The weeks are flying by and we are so thrilled with this new addition.
Here is what has been going on for week 15.

How far along? 15 +2 Weeks

Baby's Size: An apple

Gender: Coming Soon!

Weight Gain: Not sure yet.  My last appointment I was down 3 pounds, but I don't know if those have found its way back yet.  Even with those 3 pounds lost, I feel like the bump is large and in charge!

Baby's Movement: I can finally say YES!  They are few and far between but they are there.  It is one of my favorite parts about being pregnant.

Maternity Clothes: Same as last week.  The maternity pants are in full force, but my regular shirts are still working for now.

Sleep: Wonderful! Husband and I purchased a King mattress and it has been wonderful!  It is really life changing.

Symptoms: Still some heartburn and exhaustion.  I'm waiting  on the exhaustion to subside, but not sure if that will happen while I am chasing Griffin around 24/7.

Cravings: I don't really have cravings, but I had a skittles craving last week!!  I haven't had skittles in years, but the fruitiness of it sounded so good to me.  Don't worry, the craving was fixed, and I enjoyed a whole bag to myself.

Miss Anything? Energy!! Enough said.

Best Moment This Week: Finding out the gender!! We found out Tuesday and we are so excited to share the news of the sex of our new addition.  Not sure when we will share, but it will be soon.

Worst Moment This Week: Nothing I can think of.

Looking Forward To: Picking out a name.  It was very easy to name Griffin, but Luke and I are having a little more trouble naming Edwards#2.

How's Husband? Still amazing.  I have been dead tired in the afternoons, and he has been pulling night duty for me so I can rest (catch up on some TV shows).

14 Week Bumpdate: Edwards #2

Still no picture of the bump.  I promise that is coming.  With moving in the heat and just being plain exhausted, it is crazy how little energy I have to pose for a bump picture.

I am in my 14th week and I am blown away how fast the first trimester flew by.  I am so close to the half way mark I can just taste it.

Here is what has been going on during week 14.

How far along? 14 Weeks

Baby's Size: An avocado which seems pretty small for week 14
Gender: Coming Soon!  We find out Tuesday what this little peanut is.  I am saying Boy because I feel like I have had the same pregnancy so far as with Griffin.  Husband thinks Girl, which I would love.
Weight Gain: At my appointment last week I was actually down 3 pounds.  No complaining here.  I have been sick and the amount I can take in at one time is very small compared to pre-pregnancy.
Baby's Movement: It is crazy to me, but I think that I do feel flutters every now and then.  I didn't feel movement from Griffin until I was about 24 weeks because he was positioned behind my placenta.  I've heard that the second go around Mama's can feel movement sooner because they now know what to expect and know that they feel like.  Either way, I am loving it.
Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants, YES!  I am still wearing all my regular shirts and I am hoping those hang out a bit longer before I have to purchase maternity ones.
Sleep: Sleep has been amazing this week.  We moved over the weekend and I am just so tired from that that I have been sleeping like a rock.  I have been in bed asleep by 8 or 9 at the latest. Feels so good to get a fun nights rest.
Symptoms: Heartburn has been in full effect.  When I get it I feel it more in my back than in my chest, but it's nothing some TUMS can't fix.  The fatigue has kicked up a notch this week, but again I am blaming that on moving.
Cravings: No cravings.  The food aversions are still in high force right now.
Miss Anything? Nothing I can think of.
Best Moment This Week: We were riding in the car this week and I just started saying "Baby, Baby, Baby."  Out of the blue Griffin starts mimicking me and says it.  I know that he has no clue what is going on, but I know he is going to be a great big brother.
Worst Moment This Week: The exhaustion.

Looking Forward To: Our gender scan next week!  I am so ready to call the baby by it's name.
How's Husband? Amazing!  Not only has he been knocking items off our punch list for the house, but he is the main one taking care of Griffin in the evenings for me.  The extra time allows me to rest on the couch or take a good long bath, which is must needed.  Thanks babe!

Happy Hump Day!

13 Weeks: Baby Edwards #2

Good Morning Friends.  As promised, here is a quick bump date for week 13.

How far along? 13 weeks

Total weight gain: No clue on this one.  I go back to the doctor on Thursday so we will see then.

Maternity clothes?  Yes!  I am wearing a mixture of pre-pregnancy and maternity clothing.  This week I have really been enjoying my maternity pants.  They feel like heaven.  Most of my clothes fit really good in the morning, but by the end of the day I am miserable and want nothing more than to get out of them.  So, I am embracing anything maternity as I need it.
The bump is large and in charge.  It has definitely popped out quicker than the first go around.  I'm waiting on it to firm up a bit and I will be sharing more later.

Sleep: This has been touch and go.  There are some afternoons that I know I wont make it to 4:00 if I don't take a quick cat nap. One days I nap, I don't tend to sleep well so I am doing my best to go without the naps.  When I don't nap during the day, I sleep like a rock at night.

Best moment this week:  I really haven't had a best moment this week, but I feel like I may be getting my energy back.

Worst Moment this week: I wouldn't call it a worst moment, but it is what it is.  But, after not having any sickness for a little over a week, I all of the sudden got sick over the weekend.  It kind of caught me off guard, because I was hoping it was all over with.

Miss Anything? Not a thing.

Cravings: I don't really have any cravings so far.  I remember with Griffin all I wanted was chocolate milk...all the time.  As of right now, I will want something to eat, but as soon as it is in front of me, I no longer want it.  I just eat when and what I can.

Symptoms:  The exhausting is hard right now.  After working, then going home to pack or pick up the house, then taking care of an "always on the go" toddler...Mama is pooped.

Looking forward to: Finding out gender!  We will be finding out the gender of our sweet baby on July 21st.  I will be 15 weeks and I am very eager to see if Griffin will have a baby brother or sister.

Life Lately: Without Pictures

Morning friends!

Life lately has been anything but normal.

I don't know what it is with me and being pregnant, but life seems to take a halt.

Most of our afternoons and weekends are spent at home so I am able to rest.  In return, blogging has taken a backseat.  There hasn't been any fun weekend post, because lets face it, no one wants to see my weekend at home in my pjs.

I hope that life (and pregnancy sickness) will settle soon.

As far as the house, we are planning on moving this weekend.  I have some fears and anxiety about moving and I am not 100% sure.
Maybe it is the fact of having to move and realizing what kind of ordeal it is going to be.  We have a lot of helping hands willing to help out which I am so grateful for.  I hope the moving process goes smoothly and we can get back to our normal life.

Speaking of the house, Luke has been there 24/7.  He has been working so hard to get us in the house sooner than later.  He gets up early in the morning to help out with Griffin and then heads to the house.  I normally don't see him until he gets home which has been about 10:00 lately.  My bed time is getting earlier and earlier as I try not to nap in the middle of the day so I can rest better at night.  Needless to say, we are very eager to have us a date night in the near future.

That is what life has been like the past 8-10 weeks.  Hopefully the fun will begin soon!!

Happy Monday!

Toddler News:13 and 14

Now that we are quickly approaching your 15th month, I thought that it would be about time to do an update on your first two toddler months.

I am shocked I have a toddler roaming around my house.  And when I say roaming, I mean running, never stopping to take a breath.
Griffin you are the best parts of your me and your Dada.  You seem to have his outgoing personality and you are a total morning person like me.  We both have a witching "hour" which starts around 7:00.

You love to give kisses, but they have to be open mouth and your tongue is sure to make itself known in the process.  You talk non-stop and it is so fun learning your new language.
You can say: dog, duck, bye-bye, night night, pap pap(paci), nana (banana) and Papa.  You also know the sound a dog makes.  You make the cutest little grunting noise every time you see a dog.

You are in heaven when you are outside and you are still coo-coo over anytime of balls.  You have learned to throw and kick them.

You love to stack anything and everything.  You enjoy playing with your mega-Lego's and attach them to your favorite little horsey.

You are still into everything.  You love to get in cabinets and rearrange whatever you can get your hands on.  You love to have soft things on your face.  You will take the blankets and pillows off the couch and say "awe" when you put your face down on it.  This is probably the only "down" time you have in a day.

You still have the same 7 teeth that you had 3 months ago, but I think more are coming in.  Your fingers stay in the back of your mouth a good bit so it makes me think that your one year molars are coming in.  I have learned my lesson I will no longer be sticking my fingers in your mouth to count teeth.

We learned when you were 13 months old that you were going to be a big brother.  It was the most exciting news to happen to us since your arrival a year ago.  One of my first thoughts was how thankful I was to be able to give you a sibling.  It was a "worry" for me and I am so glad God answers prayers in his own timing.

We love you more than we can say.
