Oh Baby: Week 20 with Baby Edwards 2

How far along? 20 Weeks!  Less than half way to go

Baby's Size: A banana
Gender: We know, but we are still going to keep it to ourselves a little longer.
Weight Gain: At my last appointment I was still down 1 pound from pre-pregnancy.  My next appointment is next week, so I am sure the scale has gone up a bit.
Baby's Movement: Yes!  I am so happy to finally be feeling these little flutters.  I'd say I feel the baby move 10 times a day if not a little more.  I have to be really still and concentrate so I know I am not missing them.  I always feel the kicks down low right under my belly button.

Maternity Clothes: Yes, Yes, Yes!  Why are not all pants made with elastic bands?

Sleep: Not well at night.  I toss and turn all night long and the restless legs have started up.  Not fun.

Belly Button In/Out: Still in.  It never popped out with Griffin so I would expect the same thing to happen this go around.

Stretch Marks: None.  I only got one (on my hip) with Griffin but I didn't find it until after I delivered him.

Symptoms: Back pain, headaches, restless legs, and tiredness.

Cravings: This week I craved the salad dressing from Chipotle.  If you haven’t tried it you must, soon.
Miss Anything? Can’t say that I am.
Best Moment This Week: Nailing down nursery ideas for sweet baby.  We don’t have an extra bedroom downstairs and we aren’t a fan of sending Griffin upstairs yet, so the new baby will have its own room in my walk in closet.  Thankfully, it is spacious enough for our sweet new arrival.

Worst Moment This Week: Nothing I can think of.

Looking Forward To: Next week’s appointment.  We will have our anatomy scan then and I always look forward to seeing the sweet little bean.

How's Husband? Still doing well.  He is a great help in the mornings to help me get Griffin ready for school so I don’t have to wake up earlier than I already am.  He has also taken over bath time since my belly seems to be getting in the way more and more.

Oh Baby! 19 Weeks and Counting

This past Tuesday I turned 19 weeks.  Since I will be delivering at 39 weeks or before, it is crazy to think that we are a little over half way through this pregnancy.

How far along? 19 weeks +3

Baby's Size: A tomato

Gender: We know, but we are still going to keep it to ourselves a little more longer.

Weight Gain: At my appointment last week I was still under pre-pregnancy weight by 1 pound.  Even though I feel and look like I've gained at least a good 10 lbs.

Baby's Movement: Yes!  I am so happy to finally be feeling these little flutters.  I'd say I feel the baby move 10 times a day if not a little more.  I have to be really still and concentrate so I know I am not missing them.  I always feel the kicks down low right under my belly button.

Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants are heaven.  Heaven I tell you.  They are so comfortable and help with the expanding of the belly as the day goes on.  Regular shirts are still being worn, but I know it is coming to an end soon.

Sleep: Pretty good.  The tossing and turning is what keeps me from getting a great nights rest.

Belly Button In/Out: Still in.  It never popped out with Griffin so I would expect the same thing to happen this go around.

Stretch Marks: None.  I only got one (on my hip) with Griffin but I didn't find it until after I delivered him.

Symptoms: Back pain has been sticking around more this week, other than that I feel great!

Cravings: None that I can think of.  Food wise I don't ever just have to have something because I am craving it.  I eat a pretty hardy breakfast but I tend to snack the rest of the day.  The amount I can eat is very little and if I do overeat, then I pay for it the rest of the day and feel horrible.

Miss Anything? My energy.

Best Moment This Week: This past week I was patting my belly and saying "baby" to Griffin.  I know he has no clue what is going on but I would like for him to at least know there is a baby in Mama's belly.  He automatically hit his own belly and started saying "baby"!  I was a great highlight this week.
Worst Moment This Week: None I can think of.
Looking Forward To: Picking out a name.  We know we want some type of family name, but nothing is telling us "Yes, that's it!"  We knew within seconds of finding out we were having a boy, that his name should be Griffin.  Who knows, baby #2 might be nameless until the birth.

How's Husband? Doing well.  I think he is starting to realize that soon we will have two children under the age of two.  We better get as much rest now as we can.

Kitchen Update

Happy Thursday to you all!  Today I am so excited to share our kitchen...finally.  I am sure y'all thought you would never see our home actually finished, huh?

I would love to thank D.Lawless Hardware for the of all the hardware for our kitchen.  We worked with Derrick on picking out the perfect handles for our space and we love that quality.  The handles we picked out were from the Venetian Bronze Liberty Kentworth Collection.  Upon receiving the handles, we were blown away by the quality.  The finish was smooth and the handles were nice and heavy.

D. Lawless Hardware is a small business that has the best prices and service around.  You wont regret working with this company and picking out something spectacular for your space.

In case you all don't remember, here are some before and during pictures of our kitchen.

I am not sure that our kitchen will every be 100% complete.  I want to add more décor and I am sure I will continuously change out items too.  As rooms in our house get "completed" I will be sharing room by room as we go.  I will also be able to feature more handles by D. Lawless Hardware that was used in our bathrooms.

Life Lately

So after yet, another break, I am back.  I hope.

Here is our life lately.

Griffin has been breaking in the new house.  He is loves having all the room to run around and loves having his very own playroom.  This is his favorite spot when we are in his playroom.

My brother came home from Philly for a short visit, and by short I mean 36 hours.  He flew home to pick up some furniture from my parents' old home and took a U-haul back to Philly.  In addition to the furniture he took my Mom with him.  I know she is having a blast with her other 2 grandchildren.

We have been taking advantage of having Skype.  Griffin loves being able to see his Ma'ama.

This past weekend I went to Hawaii.  Well, not really but I attended a wonderful birthday party with authentic dancers and fire throwers.  It was amazing!

 Also, lately Griffin turned 3.
It amazing me how Big my sweet little 15 month old looks.  I am over the moon excited about making him a big brother and I look forward to the time he sees his new sibling for the first time.

I plan on showing some more pictures of the house this week. The kitchen is basically "finished" even though I am sure I will always be adding and taking away certain décor.  Be on the look out for that this week!  Happy Monday!
