Christmas was such a blast this year! It is so hard to believe that it is over and the New Year is just around the corner.
Christmas Eve we went to my Aunt's for her annual soup lunch. But first, we snapped a picture for #Griffins25daysofChristmas.
While at my Aunts, we exchanged a few gifts...
and stole a few pacis along the way.
And of course when you are stuffed to the gill, you take a long winters nap.
Christmas Eve night we headed to go visit with my husband's family and this little Rudolph came too. Griffin's Papa and Maymee bought this suit for him at Cracker Barrel. I just love it.
Christmas morning started at 8:00 because this little guy let us sleep in.
Remember in this post I talked about our Christmas Eve pajama tradition? Well this year certainly didn't disappoint. I loved our matching Buffalo Check PJ's and already planning next years. Just imagine head to toe matching. Ha!
I think my favorite thing is seeing THREE stockings hanging this year. We waited a long time for this moment and it was well worth it. Griffin spotted a new wubanubb and went right for it. For some reason he could care less about the new toothbrush that Santa brought for him.
My mom gifted some new wheels for Griff. He hasn't got the full hang of the walker, but I know when he does we better watch out.
I love how my husband's parents appreciate vintage items. They found this awesome rocking horse from the 1940's. I know after he has better balance, we will never be able to get him off of it.
The next day was spent in the floor. Playing with all of his new toys. He slept wonderful that night!!
Christmas was so magical this year. It really reminded me of my childhood and how excited I was about the Christmas season. The excitement of knowing that Santa and his reindeer were coming to MY house and eat MY cookies that I baked for him.
This has really made me excited about the Christmases to come and how I will get to play Santa. I will also start incorporating some fun things that my parents did for me when they played Santa. I also look forward to teaching Griffin about the real reason for the season and celebrating Jesus' Birthday.
Even thought all of my Christmas decoration are put up and my house in back "in order" I am already longing to next year and decorating our new house. Don't be surprised if I start posting about Christmas right after Halloween.
Your little guy is the cutest! Looks like he had a great first Christmas! Thanks for linking up today!
