Life Lately

Happy Friday friends.  Having a four day work week this week has been wonderful, but I must admit, it has made me get my days mixed up for sure.

It blows my mind how attached Griffin is to his Dada.  Not only is he attached, but he watches every move he makes.  Luke works from home and always has his laptop with him.  Griffin takes note and works on his tablet while Dada works.

College football has started and we couldn't be more excited.  We "enjoy" watching football to an extent, but its the activities that surround the games that we enjoy.  This was our first year going to Clemson's First Friday Parade.  Griffin was running around everywhere but as soon as it started, he was glued to what was going on.  He is a nosey people watcher like his Mama.

This dude got his third haircut this week too.  I loved his long hair but it was getting matted in the back from his car seat.  I am so happy we decided to cut it because he just looks too cool!

The littlest babe is doing well too.  At our anatomy scan last week the baby was measuring 3 days ahead.  So happy that we got a good report.

I have finally picked out Griffin's costume this year.  I wanted him to be a scarecrow again so bad, but I honestly didn't think I could top last years.
I have ordered his costume for this year and I am so excited to get it jazzed up a bit.

Happy Friday!

Oh Baby!! 21 Weeks

Happy, happy Friday Friends.  Clemson kicks off their season Saturday and we are looking forward to a long Labor Day weekend.

How far along? 21 Weeks!
Baby's Size: At our anatomy scan this week we found out that sweet baby weighs 15 ounces.
Gender: We know, but we are still going to keep it to ourselves a little longer.
Weight Gain: 1 1/2 pounds, although I feel like its more than that.
16 vs. 21 weeks

Baby's Movement: Sweet bean is a mover and a shaker.  The baby is behind my placenta so movements aren't totally strong.  It's sweet little feet hang out below my belly button and that's where I feel the strongest kicks.

Maternity Clothes: Yes, Yes, Yes!  Why are not all pants made with elastic bands?
Sleep: Same as the past few weeks.  Tossing and turning all night long, and lets not talk about the crazy dreams I've been having.

Belly Button In/Out: Still in.  It never popped out with Griffin so I would expect the same thing to happen this go around.

Stretch Marks: None.  I only got one (on my hip) with Griffin but I didn't find it until after I delivered him.
Symptoms: Back pain is still around but thankful the tiredness has subsided for now.  I have been having heart palpitations which I had with Griffin but they didn't show up until around 25 weeks.  With this pregnancy they showed up at 14 weeks and have gotten stronger and more frequent as time as gone by.  I have already wore a monitor and everything came back fine.  I see a cardiologist next week just to get a closer look at everything.  Thankfully, these palpitations do not "hurt" me or the baby.

Cravings: Give me all the chocolate milk I can drink!  Seriously.  Promise Land brand has quickly become my favorite.
Miss Anything? Can’t say that I am.
Best Moment This Week: Being able to see the sweetness during my ultrasound.  I'll take all the baby time I can.

Worst Moment This Week: Nothing I can think of.

Looking Forward To: Enjoying the fall"ish" weather that we have coming our way.  Hello mid 80's!
How's Husband? Still doing well.  He is a great help in the mornings to help me get Griffin ready for school so I don’t have to wake up earlier than I already am.  He has also taken over bath time since my belly seems to be getting in the way more and more.

Toddler News: 16 Months

When people say how fast their first year flies by they aren't kidding.  But what they don't tell you is how fast the 4 months after the first year goes.  It is crazy how life has been flying by and I now have a 16 month old.

Griffin has become such a sweet little man.  He has taken the new house by the horns and loves exploring every inch of it.  He takes full advantage of the stairs and so do I for cute pictures.

He and his Dada have really became to peas in a pod.  I have watched their bond grow and my little Mama's boy has turned into a full fledged Dada's boy.  I love it.

Nightly rides in the golf cart are a must whenever Dada is around.  Trip around the pond are one of his favorites.
You are loving learning new animals and the noise that it makes.  Your favorite is of course Dog.  We are working on cat, cow, bird, goat, and pig and of course the sound they make.

We are also working on body parts.  He has nose, head, and mouth down pat.  Eyes and teeth are a work in progress.

I have noticed this month that his language has really picked up.  He still can mimic just about any word we say but has a few that he says on his own.
Dog, Mama, Dada, Moose, Bye, Please, Papa, Pappy, Mammie, Ma'amaw, No, Socks, Pancake, Shoes, Paci

"No" has become one of his favorite to say and he has learned to say it with a little sass.  We are working on that, because that could get him in trouble.

Bath times is still one of his favorites.  He has learned to put his face under water and while holding his breath.  It scares me to death, but he thinks it is the funniest thing.

When we talk about the new baby in Mama's belly, he always hits his own belly and says baby.  It's cute now, but I hope he doesn't go to an individual in public and hit their belly and say "baby."

You are a great help with getting dressed in the mornings and can "put your arms up" when I take your shirt off.  You also do a great job helping me put your socks and shoes on.  I think it tires you out because a lot of the times you end up like this.

You are loving your new class at school and you are loving being able to go outside.  Hopefully, the slide will become one of your favorites.

We love you so much Griffin Mark and can't wait to watch you become a big brother to your new sibling.
